Fresh off his victory at the Masters, Tiger Woods may have already taken his green jacket to his yacht, which has been spotted just miles from Bethpage Black, where he will play in the PGA Championship starting in mid-May, shooting for his second major of the season.
Though he chose to opt out of this week’s Wells Fargo Championship to rest up his body, his $20 million yacht, “Privacy” is currently docked just a few miles north in Oyster Bay, minutes from the course where he will try to claim his 16th major title.
It is not clear whether or not Woods is on board the yacht presently, but it will presumably be his home base during the week of the tournament on Long Island, though he will be taking at least a temporary reprieve from the boat when President Donald Trump awards him the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Monday.
According to Golf Channel, the 155-foot yacht is approximately 6,500-square-feet and can sleep 10 guests in five staterooms in addition to four cabins that house the ship’s nine crew members. It also features a fully-equipped gym, three-person elevator, large jacuzzi, bar, scuba station and has room to carry three Sea-Doos, two ocean kayaks and two Vespa scooters.
This isn’t the first time Woods has set up shop on Privacy. Last year, he stayed on the yacht during the U.S. Open, which was played at Shinnecock Hills, though he hopes for a better result this time around after missing the cut.
“Yeah, staying on the dinghy helps,” he said before that tournament last year.
